Watermelon, Manchego & Prosciutto di Parma Skewers

Fresh taste at your fingertips. These delightfully yummy fingerfoods are small but large in flavor.

Makes 10-12 Servings


  • 1 1/4 lbs of watermelon
  • ½ lb prosciutto ham
  • Manchego cheese
  • Freshly ground pepper and salt
  • Extra virgin olive oil
  • A dash of balsamic vinegar (optional)
  • 10-12 basil leaves 



Cut the melon flesh away from the rind. Discard the rind and cut the flesh into one inch cubes. Cut prosciutto into one-inch squares to fit three on top of the watermelon. Cut the cheese into thin squares so that they fit the top of the watermelon squares and add on top of the prosciutto. Top with a basil leaf. You may add these ingredients in any order you prefer. Secure with a skewer or toothpick. To serve arrange the skewers on a platter, add freshly ground pepper and salt as desired. Generously drizzle olive oil and balsamic (optional) on each piece. Serve immediately.
