Makes 4 to 6 servings
- 2 pears cut into spears lengthwise
- 6 slices bacon cut in half lengthwise
- Ground cinnamon
Preheat oven to 350° F (176.7° C). Wash pears, cut off the stem and core. Cut pears into spears lengthwise, about 3 to 4 slices. Cut bacon lengthwise and wrap each pear with sliced bacon making a figure 8 and securing the loose ends of bacon with a toothpick. Sprinkle just lightly with cinnamon. Place pears on a baking sheet. Bake for 35 to 40 minutes or until the bacon browns and the pears are cooked through. Let it cool for 5 minutes and serve warm.
